Adding an Event Filter from Filter Management
In Filter Management, you can view and customize the filters created for an event. You can add a new event filter using event categories and severity of the event. You can view the saved events in the events tab.
For example, if you want to view correlation events with warning and info severity level. In correlation events, you do not want to view the Management Server Events that are acknowledged.
To add a new event filter in the Filter Management window, follow the instructions below:
1. Click the Settings icon ( ), and then select SAN Monitoring > Filter Management.
2. Click the + icon on the top right corner of the window and click Events to add a new event filter.
3. Type the filter name along with tags and description.
4. Click Event Categories and Severity and select the events by the event's severity. For example, in this case, select Correlation Event with severity level Info and Warning.
5. Click Included or Excluded Events (optional) and click Add to filter a specific event.
For example, in this case, select Excluded Events and click Add.
6. Select the event from the Filter Options and click ( ) to move the event as selected events. Click OK to add the filters to the new event filter.
For example, in this case, if you do not want to view the Management Server Events that are acknowledged configure Filter Options as shown in the image below.
7. Click Save to save the event filter.
